Dr. Nikki Kokel

Dr. Kokel is a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.  She received her undergraduate degree with honors from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and her doctorate degree with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry.  Upon graduation, Dr. Kokel completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Ocular and Refractive Surgery at the Eye Center of Texas.  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Kokel is committed to providing primary care to all ages as well as ocular disease treatment and management, including infections, glaucoma, and diabetes.  She is experienced in providing post-operative care for cataracts and laser vision correction procedures.  Dr. Kokel aspires to provide eye care to the underserved as well as continuing to be a part of medical missions abroad, as she did in 2007 to Kenya.  In her spare time, Dr. Kokel is an avid gardener, traveler, and hunter, and is a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Downtown Houston and the Fort Bend Junior Service League.
