
Dr. Salchak attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1988, and is a certified Therapeutic Optometrist. He has been in private practice for nearly 20 years, and is licensed to treat ocular diseases including glaucoma. Dr. Salchak is also certified to provide pre and post operative care for cataract and LASIK patients. He specializes in advanced procedures such as hard to fit contact lenses, astigmatism, and first time users of contacts. In addition, he is trained in Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT). Dr. Salchak has been a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association for over 20 years.
Dr. Salchak is married, and has two sons. He’s an active member of Sugar Land First United Methodist Church, and co-teaches an adult Sunday School class New Foundations. He’s also been an active member of Sugar Land Rotary Club for nearly 20 years. Being active in his son’s lives, he is an active member of Troop 731 in Boy Scouts of America. In his spare time he enjoys: physical fitness, running, biking, and golf.
