Dr. Davenport is a board certified Therapeutic Optometrist. He graduated from Abilene Christian University and went on to graduate from University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Davenport has been in private practice in Sugar Land since 1991, specializing in contact lenses and laser vision correction procedures. As a contact lens specialist, Dr. Davenport is experienced in fitting both rigid gas permeable and soft lenses for patients with post-surgical, keratoconic, bifocal, astigmatic and other difficult to fit prescriptions. He is also trained in the use of CRT, a procedure in which a contact lens is worn overnight to reshape the cornea to allow clear vision throughout the day without the use of glasses or contacts. Dr. Davenport is certified to provide pre and postoperative care for many ocular surgeries including cataract and laser vision correction (LASIK). Dr. Davenport is a member of both the Texas Optometric Association and The American Optometric Association since 1991. He and his family are active members of First Colony Church of Christ. He is also a long time member of the Sugar Land Rotary club. Being an avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoys water sports.
